Job Description

Manhattanville College is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Head Strength and Conditioning Coach. The Strength and Conditioning Coach is a full-time, 12-month, benefits eligible position that reports to the Associate Vice President of Athletics and Recreation. The qualified applicant is responsible for the development and implementation of policies and procedures and individual, general and team strength and conditioning programs for the athletes on 24 varsity teams in a growing Division III athletic program. Additionally, the coach directly supervises the overall operation of the athletic department fitness center.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Designing, implementing, and evaluating general and sport-specific strength and conditioning training sessions for the college’s intercollegiate athletics teams

    • Teaching and executing proper technique of lifts and drills
  • Direct supervision and operation of two on-campus fitness centers

  • Coordination and collaboration with the college’s Sports Medicine Department

  • Preparing and delivering educational presentations for student athletes on nutrition, training philosophy, etc.

  • Coordinate the regular cleaning, maintenance, and scheduling of facilities

  • Establishment and maintenance of proper communication with sport coaches, athletic trainers, athletics department staff, and the strength & conditioning staff

  • Adherence to all Manhattanville College, NCAA, and Conference rules/regulations

  • Additional administrative responsibilities may be assigned as necessary
