Description

The position of Head Women's Basketball Coach is responsible for teaching, training and developing the skills of student-athletes in the sport of basketball while integrating and sharing the values of the athletics department. This position also involves managing and overseeing all aspects of the women's basketball program, providing leadership, and serving as a positive example for our student athletes. The Head Coach will encourage virtue development, foster a positive environment and ensure the program aligns with Stillman Colleges' mission, vision and values. Additionally, the Head Coach will implement a virtue-based development program, handle sports administration duties including recruiting and retention of student, manage scheduling, travel, budgeting, academic monitoring, fund raising, equipment and overall program maintenance. 

Job Responsibilities

Primary Duties:  Student-Athlete Development: The Head Coach is responsible for planning and conducting training, practice, and skill development to prepare team for competition. 

• Provide technical instruction to help student athletes improve skills during practice. 

• Conduct individual training sessions focused on developing skill sets. 

• Design and implement practice plans that prepares team both mentally and physically for competition 

• Plan and execute camps clinics for skill development • Monitor the academic, social, and personal development of student-athletes 

• Mentor student athletes in their virtue development, fostering their growth as individuals both on and off the court
