Job Summary

Big Red Productions is seeking motivated Hourly Workers to assist with the production of Lamar University sports and events. This position provides hands-on experience in live broadcast production, including camera operation, audio, and video equipment. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, reliable, and eager to contribute to the success of campus productions.

Essential Job Functions

• Operate and maintain broadcast equipment, including cameras, audio boards, switchers, and transmission systems
• Assist with live and recorded productions, ensuring smooth execution and quality control
• Monitor signal quality and troubleshoot technical issues during broadcasts
• Collaborate with producers, directors, and other team members to meet production goals
• Prepare and cue media content for airing, including commercials, segments, and promotional material
• Ensure compliance with FCC regulations and internal broadcasting standards
• Maintain logs and records of broadcast activities and equipment usage
• Support remote broadcasts and field productions as needed
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned

Minimum and Desired Qualifications

• Broadcast production experience required, including camera, sound, and video production
• Experience working in live production environments
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and irregular schedules based on event needs

Supplemental Information

Physical Requirements - Ability to work in inclement weather conditions - Ability to lift and carry equipment as needed

Job Conditions - Work is performed under direct supervision - Training will be provided; continued employment depends on accuracy and reliability in task completion
