Expired Date: Feb 21, 2025Eastern Connecticut State University is accepting applications for the full-time position of Head Men’s and Women’s Golf Coach. Eastern Connecticut State University is planning to establish women’s golf as our 20th varsity sport in 2025-26. Upon hire, the head coach will be responsible for recruiting golfers for the upcoming season and establishing a schedule for the new women’s team. Candidates should have a proven ability to recruit at the collegiate level, with a strong commitment to the student-athlete experience. The men’s team is already established as a competitive program, having won three conference championships and has participated in two NCAA tournaments in its four-year program history.
Specific duties will include but are not limited to: recruiting and retention of student-athletes, practice and meet preparation and coaching, supervision of part-time assistant coaches, and fundraising to provide for team opportunities. In addition, the Head Coach is responsible for administrative tasks such as scheduling contests, budget management, and filing necessary reports. The Head Coach must demonstrate a commitment to maintaining compliance with NCAA, Eastern Connecticut State University, and Little East Conference rules and regulations.
Our preferred candidate will have the proven leadership skills to create a championship culture. The successful candidate will show the strong communication skills and cross-cultural abilities necessary to develop and maintain positive relationships with diverse groups of student-athletes, colleagues, alumni, and the greater campus community.

*Bachelor’s degree required
*Successful coaching experience
