POSITION SUMMARY: The men’s baseball assistant will assist the head coach in helping the head coach cultivate an environment that is conducive for the team members’ spiritual growth. They will also help the head coach with many operational items that need to be accomplished.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will serve as a role model while providing Biblically based counseling and discipleship to team members. College baseball playing experience is a requirement for this job. The assistant coach must be able to throw quality batting practice, hit consistent fungo, and have a background in teaching hitting and a particular position group. Outfield preferred.

Specific Duties:

• Attend all practices and games; some overnight trips will occur
• Throw quality batting practice
• Ability to hit fungo
• Train hitters
• Attend all fundraising events for the team
• Drive school vehicles
• Aid and assist with recruiting efforts
• Other duties as assigned
