The Men’s Basketball Head Coach is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the men’s basketball program, including coaching, recruitment, retention, academic monitoring, scheduling, budgeting, fundraising, and staff management. The head coach will foster a positive environment that emphasizes academic success, athletic development, and personal growth for student-athletes.
What You'll Do:
Lead, organize, and supervise all facets of the men’s basketball program.
Recruit and retain student-athletes with a commitment to academic achievement and athletic success.
Monitor student-athlete eligibility and collaborate with Student Life and Enrollment teams to support retention.
Prepare and manage program budgets, equipment needs, and team travel arrangements.
Plan and conduct practices and games in alignment with NCAA Division III, HCAC, and University standards.

Oversee assistant coaches, providing mentorship, evaluation, and feedback.
Partner with Athletics staff for sports information, training, facilities, and publicity.
Participate in fundraising activities, athletic banquets, admissions events, and professional development opportunities.
What You'll Need:
Bachelor’s degree or five years of coaching experience (preferred).
Experience in NCAA Division III athletics (as a coach or student-athlete) preferred.
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Successful completion of the NCAA Division III Rules Test.
Current CPR/AED and First Aid Certification (available on-site).
