| Job Description Summary |
The Men’s Rugby Head Coach directs all facets of Nazareth University’s NCAA Division III program, with primary responsibility for student-athlete development, competitive success, and full compliance with NCAA, conference, and institutional policies. Key duties include strategic planning, daily coaching, recruiting, budget oversight, and alumni engagement, all while advancing the University’s mission of excellence, inclusion, and civic engagement.

| Required Education, Experience, Technology Applications and Skills |
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum five (5) years of coaching experience, including significant recruiting responsibilities.
- Demonstrated understanding of NCAA rules and sport-specific best practices
- Advanced knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
- Valid driver’s license meeting University driving standards
- Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification (or ability to obtain promptly)
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills; proficiency with technology used in recruiting and coaching

| Preferred Education, Experience, Technology Applications and Skills |
- Master’s Degree
- Prior collegiate head-coaching experience
- Proven success recruiting at the Division III level

| Supervisory Responsibilities |
- Direct oversight of assistant and graduate assistant coaches, volunteer staff, and student workers assigned to event operations
|
| Physical Requirements |
- Ability to demonstrate sport-specific skills during practice sessions
- Travel frequently, including evenings and weekends, throughout the competitive season
|
