Kenyon College invites applications for the position of Part-Time Assistant Men’s and Women’s Tennis Coach. This is a part-time position without benefits. This coach will assist in various facets of the NCAA D-III Men’s and Women’s Tennis program in accordance and compliance with NCAA, NCAC, and Kenyon College policies and regulations.

It is also expected that the Part-Time Assistant Tennis Coach will embrace the department mission of fostering learning and developing community with a focus on the values of citizenship, competition, resiliency, sportsmanship, and teamwork within Kenyon’s unique campus culture. Successful candidates will be able to show a demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in their support for students from diverse ethnic, socioeconomic, religious, and national backgrounds.

Essential Functions:

  • Assist the Head Coaches of the men’s and women’s teams in all aspects, as needed.
  • Be a contributing and positive member of the Kenyon Athletic Department AND Student Affairs Division.
  • Represent Kenyon always in a positive and enthusiastic light.
  • Teach the basic fundamentals of the game using a skill set that will complement the head coaches’ instruction.

Other Expectations:

  • Serve as a member of the Athletics, Fitness and Recreation team, responsible for providing leadership, goals, and program implementation at a fully residential campus housing 1800 undergraduate students.
  • Develop and maintain mutually supportive and collaborative working relationships with student affairs colleagues, faculty, and other campus partners to accomplish shared objectives and tasks.
