Job Summary

Indiana University Columbus is seeking an energetic and dedicated Part-Time Assistant Women's Soccer Coach to support the development and competitive success of the women's soccer program. A person in this role should be passionate about the sport, committed to supporting student-athletes, and eager to contribute to a positive team culture both on and off the field.

General Responsibilities

• Assists the Director of Soccer with planning and conducting practices, technical sessions, strength/conditioning, and tactical training.
• Provides individualized instruction to enhance players¿ skills, performance, and soccer IQ.
• Supports game-day operations, including pre-game preparation, warm-ups, bench management, and post-game responsibilities.
• Assists with administrative duties such as roster management, travel coordination, recruiting, equipment preparation, and communication with student-athletes.
• Helps with film review, basic scouting responsibilities, and match analysis.
• Promotes academic success, sportsmanship, leadership, and personal growth within the team.
• Ensures compliance with college, conference, and governing-body rules (NAIA).
• Performs additional duties as assigned by the Director of Soccer or Athletic Director.

Qualifications

EDUCATION

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED)

WORK EXPERIENCE

Preferred

• Prior coaching experience or competitive soccer background preferred; college-level experience a plus

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES

Required

• CPR/AED and First Aid certification 
• Possess a valid driver's license for team travel

SKILLS

Required

• Strong understanding of fundamental soccer skills, training methods, and game tactics
• Ability to motivate, mentor, and support student-athletes in a positive manner
• Good communication, leadership, and organizational skills

Working Conditions / Demands

This positions requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and occasional travel as required. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without accommodation.

Advertised Salary

$17.00 per hour

Work Hours

Up to 29 hours per week (will not exceed 29 hours).
