Duties and Responsibilities:

The Athletics Department is accepting applications for a part-time Gameday Commentator for Volleyball, Basketball and Softball. The qualified candidate selected for this position will assist in the following capacities: Will serve as play-by-play commentator for home video streaming events for volleyball, basketball and softball contests. Will comply with all NCAA Division II and Gulf South Conference rules, regulations and policies. Will interact professionally with all officials, coaches, student-athletes, University personnel and spectators attending the games. Requirements: Serve as required play-by-play commentary for AUM Athletics events on the Flo Sports Video Platform. Prepare relevant notes about each team for the contest. Remain neutral in commentary and be respectful of each team. Assist with broadcast by switching to different camera angles, when necessary. Must be reliable and available to work nights and weekends. This position will arrive to the venue 30 minutes to an hour prior to the scheduled contest to ensure all interviews are loaded and equipment is working and will remain until event has concluded.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma Available on nights and weekends Minimum of one (1) year experience as video play-by-play at NCAA, NAIA, NJCAA, AHSAA or AISA institution Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree Two (2) years’ experience as play-by-play commentator at NCAA institution
