JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Penn State Altoona, a member of the NCAA Division III and Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference, is seeking a part-time Athletic Trainer. This is a temporary and an as needed position.
The Athletic Trainer provides competition coverage and pregame preparation needs of the student-athletes; provide rehabilitation to injured student-athletes; and participate in annual professional development. Hours of expectation will be mainly evenings and weekends.
Requirements/Qualifications:
s degree or higher (Master
s degree preferred) plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.The successful candidates will have the required education; must be alert for injury or safety issues as they occur; communicate in a professional manner; be able to provide leadership to the coaches to assist them with the proper care of their student-athletes.
BACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCES
This position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check.

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
