Thomas College is looking for a Part-Time Head Coed Dance Coach. The selected candidate will be responsible for the management and administration of all phases of the Coed Dance program . The Head Coach will promote the college’s diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) statement where applicable. 

The Coed Dance Coach is responsible for the management and administration of the coed dance program to include the following: coaching, scheduling, conditioning, contest preparation, practice planning, budget preparation, fund raising, purchasing and care of equipment, planning and supervision of team travel. He/She will provide leadership, support, and instruction in the personal and athletic development of student athletes, including advising team members in academic, disciplinary, and personal matters. Provides individual and group instruction to students on competition strategies, conditioning, and technical skills. 

The Coed Dance Coach is responsible for organizing and implementing a recruiting/scouting program to attract student-athletes with the necessary skills and intellectual abilities needed to succeed as a student-athlete at Thomas College.  He/She will work collaboratively with various departments across campus including but not limited to admissions, student success center, development, and alumni to ensure we are providing the best student-athlete experience possible.

The selected candidate must demonstrate strong teaching ability and technical knowledge of the sport. Must possess strong organizational and people skills. Ability to effectively communicate with athletic department staff, student athletes, recruits, and their families. Proficiency in basic data management systems, Slate, game film editing programs and basic computer applications (e.g., Work, Excel, Outlook). Ability to drive to athletic contests and recruiting events.
