Purpose: The objective of this position is to help the women’s soccer program move closer to
achieving excellence in the servicing of our student athletes. The person in this position will help
monitor progress and development of the student athletes on and off the field. Efficiency will be
enhanced through adding this position by providing another hand in aiding the head and assistant
coaches in their duties with budget, monitoring of student athletes, and all responsibilities as needed.
Must comply with all NCAA, Great American Conference and institutional rules and regulations.

Essential Functions:

 Accessibility to on campus student athletes in meeting their needs.
 Assist with game plan of upcoming opponents.
 Monitor team weight room workouts.
 Supervise team warm-ups and cool-downs.
 Assist the head coach during practices.
 Use social media platforms to promote the women’s soccer program.
 Assist in recruiting student athletes.

Other Duties:

 Personal training of athletes.
 Game film breakdown.
 Game day set up and breakdown.

Required Qualifications:

POSITION DESCRIPTION

 Understanding basic expectations of a college athlete at a competitive NCAA II program.
 Basic knowledge of Excel, Word, Adobe.
 Organizing training sessions.
 People management skills.
 Knowledge of drills and techniques involved in developing soccer players.
 HUDL or similar film breakdown programs.
 Microsoft Excel or similar.
 General good health with the ability to stand for two hours at a time and be able to lift a minimum

of 50 pounds.

Education:

 Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in a related field and coaching licenses at a “D” level or above.
 Required: Bachelor’s degree in a related field and willingness to seek out coaching licenses.

Experience:

 Preferred: Four-year college playing experience at a competitive program, youth or higher

coaching experience.

 Required: Playing experience at a JUCO level or above, willingness to coach youth or higher.

Special Requirements:

 Must be a member of a local evangelical* Christian church.

*Evangelical is a broad term referring to segment within Christianity which maintains the
authority of the Bible and the belief in salvation by faith in Jesus alone.
