This role will work within the award-winning Fighting Irish Media (FIM) Department, and will assist the strategic direction for all live production creation across the entire Notre Dame Athletics department. This role will tell compelling visual stories (from a live production standpoint) of our varsity teams, coaches, and student-athletes.Notre Dame’s partnerships give us the opportunity to have incredible exposure across the United States and World, and this role will be primarily responsible for making sure Notre Dame Athletics is represented in the highest fashion possible.This role must have a deep knowledge and understanding of all technical aspects of live event productions, and have a proven track record to back it up. Additionally, this role must have impeccable internal communication skills, strive to be a leader within FIM and not be afraid to be innovative – all while being a great teammate to the entire Athletics Department staff. This role must be a problem solver, be comfortable making difficult decisions that at times, have a certain level of ambiguity, and be comfortable accomplishing major tasks independently. This position will be a leader in understanding live event trends that help enhance the successes of Notre Dame athletics, from an external perspective. This role will be responsible for overseeing, managing, and executing broadcasts and/or videoboard shows for varsity sports as assigned by the Asst. AD of Live Events This role will collaborate with live team members and the Student Coordinator Position, residing in Notre Dame Studios, to assist the student-worker program focused on live event and videoboard production for all necessary sports This role will help train employees and students in various aspects of live production including but not limited to the various control room positions & the operation and setup of equipment for those positions.
