The Sports Information Department at Mayville State University is looking for reliable student assistants to fill several roles within game day operations for all home sporting events on campus. 

• Students must possess a strong interest in sports and willingness to handle a wide variety of duties for a 7-sport department. 
• Students must be willing to work evening hours and some weekends. 
• Students expressing an interest in pursuing a career in sports information will be given a priority. 
• Student assistants are not required to choose a specific job position within our department but are encouraged to express their desired interest when applying.

Duties and responsibilities will include one or more of the following and jobs may vary from day to day based on schedule:

Duties and responsibilities will include one or more of the following and jobs may vary from day to day based on schedule:

1. Running the video camera during games for live streams.
2. Running the video board for games.
3. Being a spotter for our statistician.
4. Taking in game film/photographs.
5. Set up & take down of SID equipment for game days.
6. Announcing/broadcasting on live stream for one or more of the following: Baseball, Football, Volleyball, Men’s & Women’s Basketball & Softball games.

-Student must remain focused while providing a professional production of Comet Athletics events live online.

-Broadcasters do not need any prior knowledge or experience in broadcasting, but will need to be willing to learn professional  broadcasting etiquette and develop a knowledgeable understanding of each sport.

Hours will be given upon student’s availability and willingness to do different tasks.
