Mount Mercy University is seeking a passionate and dedicated Seasonal Part-Time Assistant Women's Lacrosse Coach. This position will assist the Head Coach in all aspects of managing a competitive NAIA women’s lacrosse program, including practice planning, game-day preparation, recruitment, and student-athlete development.
Key Responsibilities Assist in planning and conducting practices, skill sessions, and team meetings. Support game-day coaching and in-game decision-making. Help identify, recruit, and retain prospective student-athletes who fit the university’s academic and athletic profile. Foster a positive team culture focused on academic achievement, personal growth, and competitive success. Comply with all university, conference, and NAIA rules and regulations. Travel with the team to away games and tournaments as needed. Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Coach or Athletic Director. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required Prior experience playing or coaching lacrosse at the collegiate level is strongly preferred. Strong understanding of the game, including tactics, skill development, and training techniques. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel as required. Valid driver’s license and ability to drive team vehicles. Preferred Attributes
