MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
PLEASE NOTE: Admission to a graduate program is required.
To assist the Softball Head Coach in building and managing a dynamic team program where players demonstrate exceptional skills while fully committed to the mission and goals of the program while adhering to NCAA rules and regulations
Attend classes to successfully complete a graduate program at Marymount University.
Assist in recruiting, scouting, and practice planning.
Coordinate video and statistical analysis.
Perform game day duties as assigned.
Monitor equipment inventory and care.
Assist with organizational planning (travel, community service, study hall, etc.).
Support player development and assist with roster management.
Help with the planning and organization of camps and clinics.
Follow Athletic Department Policy and Procedures.
Provide positive leadership for student-athletes by example.
Know and comply with all NCAA rules and regulations.
Annually pass the NCAA Coach's Certification Exam.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Proficient in social media content creation and profile management
OTHER DUTIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
Good Interpersonal Skills
Experience with film analysis system
Experience with social media
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelors degree and successful admittance and enrollment to a Marymount University graduate degree program
Experience: Softball playing or coaching experience preferred
Licenses/ Certifications: Valid drivers license
Financial Responsibility: None
Supervision: None
SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS
Ability to travel; heavy lifting required (50 pounds and over); may be required to work when the university is closed. Ability to work nights, weekends, and some holidays
