Summary

The Sports Information Assistant serves as an institutional representative for all athletic activities and provides coverage of 16 NAIA varsity sports. This role assists the Sports Information Director in promoting the department and helping manage and maintain statistics, records, and other related materials.

Duties and Responsibilities

This position is primarily responsible to:

  • Testify to personal experience of salvation in Jesus Christ, affirm belief in the University’s Statement of Faith, abide by and practice our Life Together Covenant, and both personally agree with and support the Foundational Documents of Taylor University.
  • Maintain game-day coverage for assigned Taylor University varsity sports including statistical reports, play by play information, photographs and videos.
  • Report statistical reports for individual athletes and teams, game recaps, and other promotional materials to the general public and other organizations such as the Crossroads League and the NAIA.
  • Assist with the production of game programs, news releases, updates, schedules, rosters, pre-event and post-event information.
