Eastern Connecticut State University is accepting applications for the position of Sports Information Assistant. This is a University Assistant position for 19 hours per week and is a 10-month annual position. Pay is an hourly rate, commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities: will include writing and editing news releases, preparing competition statistics, updating the athletics website, maintaining updated bios, rosters and historical archives, and leading student event staff in press box management. Game day athletic communication needs will be a major component of the position.

Knowledge and Experience  P referred : Photoshop, video creation, basic knowledge of department sponsored sports, and athletics statistical software.

Qualifications:   A Bachelor’s degree is required. Requires the ability to work independently and take initiative. Must be available to work nights and weekends as attendance at sporting events is mandatory. Prior experience in collegiate athletics, either as a student-athlete or staff member, is preferred.
