The head coach is responsible for modeling Faith’s overall philosophy of ministry in the context of athletics.
The head coach should be a disciple maker at heart, viewing athletics as an opportunity for discipleship. They
should be an effective student recruiter, have the ability to effectively communicate in large/small group
settings, and be available to represent the school in various settings as needed.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Reflecting Jesus-like character in all settings.
Ability to effectively and consistently recruit student-athletes and fill the roster.
Thorough understanding of collegiate track and field.
Meet and practice planning and preparation.
Administration of team travel including finances, driving the team vehicle, meals, and lodging.
Planning and facilitating summer camps, athletic visitor weekends, awards fellowship, and alumni events.
Attending and assisting with annual recruitment weekends.
Attending and assisting with partner school meets.

Applicants must agree without mental reservation with FBBC&TS’s foundational documents.
Applicants must be Baptists in their beliefs and practice.
Applicants must adhere to Biblical standards of morality and living.
Applicants and/or their spouses must not be or ever have been divorced.

Ability to communicate in a professional manner with multiple groups of people including students and other employees.
Strong organizational skills.
Knowledge of sport.
Ability to demonstrate skills and drills necessary to sport.
Ability to communicate desires and expectations of athletes.
Able to handle a variety of student situations.
Desire for ongoing education.
Class “C” CDL with driver’s license with passenger endorsement, or ability to obtain before start of season.
Academic Qualifications
A minimum of a four year college degree is preferred.
A minimum of two plus years’ experience with sports is preferred.
A minimum of two years coaching experience is preferred.
A minimum of two plus years in youth ministry or related ministry is preferred.
