JOB SUMMARY:

 

Responsible for supporting and maintaining audiovisual infrastructure across all athletic venues, with a specialized focus on videoboard operations and facility systems. This role serves as the primary liaison to external partners s and works in collaboration with internal stakeholders to ensure reliable functionality of AV assets. Additionally, this position assists with football game day parking setup and venue changeovers and holds primary maintenance oversight of assigned athletic facilities. Performs other duties as assigned.

JOB DUTIES:

 

55% - Essential - Facility Operations & Technology: Oversee day-to-day functionality of videoboards and integrated AV systems across Clemson Athletics facilities. Serve as the primary contact for installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance coordination with vendors including Daktronics, Musco, Samsung, and others. Implement preventative maintenance protocols and respond to system failures to minimize downtime during athletic events. Manage relationships with third-party AV and lighting vendors. Support procurement, installation, and repair efforts for facility systems including control rooms, broadcast cabling, and lighting integrations. Ensure all technology systems are up-to-date and operational for athletic events or special events.

20% - Essential - Facility Oversight and Maintenance: Act as the primary contact for facility maintenance requests for assigned venues/facilities. Partner with university facilities teams and custodial staff to ensure venues are safe, functional, and presentable.C oordinate scheduling, changeovers, and special event layouts within assigned venues. Performs off-season maintenance on assigned facilities, such as cleaning, painting, trash and weed removal, pressure washing, and other repairs. May manage student workers in off-season maintenance.

15% - Essential - Facility Set-Up and Transitions: Assists in set-up and breakdown of athletic facilities, including transitioning various facilities from practice set up to game day set, special event setup or other venue transitions. Also includes pre-season prep work in athletic facilities.

10% - Essential - Game-Day Operations: Assist with set-up and breakdown of all temporary game day parking lots. Responsible for numbering and signage associated with permanent parking lots for Football Game Days.  Will direct student assistants through this process. Will be required to attend all home football games {7} to assist with any possible issues that may occur during the course of the day. Last minute pre-game issues and issues that may occur during the course of the game.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

 

Education - Bachelor's Degree

Work Experience - 1+ years

Licenses & Certifications - Valid driver's licenses with acceptable driving record.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

 

Education - Bachelor's Degree in sport management, engineering, communications, or related field.

Work Experience - 2+ years in athletic operations, AV systems management, or venue technology coordination.

Licenses & Certifications - OSHA or AVIXA certification

COMPENSATION INFORMATION

 

Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.

 

ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL

 

Essential Level 1 employee

Required to respond during an emergency closure or modified operations in order to provide the University's initial response to the emergency situation, including the execution of mission essential functions. Some positions in this category may be required to work remotely or be on-call.
