Video & Social Media Assistant

Job Description:

Mount St. Mary’s University invites applications for a part-time Video and Social Media Assistant position. Mount St. Mary’s is a Division I member of the Northeast Conference.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The position will be responsible for all aspects associated with the web streaming of Mount St. Mary’s University athletic events on www.mountathletics.tv and all online video content on Mount’s official athletic website.  Areas of responsibility include scheduling, promoting, staffing, directing, and archiving Mount St. Mary’s Athletic event broadcasts and editing highlight clips.  Additional video responsibilities include video interviews, player spotlights, and event promotions.

Job Requirements: Education, Experience and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Experience with all forms of social media (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube)
• Experience in video editing using WireCast, Final Cut Pro, iMovie and Adobe Premiere preferred.

• Willingness to work long hours/nights/weekends
• Ability to communicate with coaches, media and staff
• Experience with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Stat Crew and Microsoft Word preferred.
• Good writing skills
• Experience in play-by-play is helpful

Salary/Hours/Benefits

• $7,140.00/year
• Part time (20 hours/week)
