The Center for Intercollegiate Athletics is committed to providing an outstanding student-centered athletic experience through the pursuit of academic and athletic excellence, within a context of integrity and respect.  The Director of Player & Team Operations/Assistant Ice Hockey Coach for RIT Athletics supports the Division I Ice Hockey Team through the coordination of day-to-day operations, team logistics, equipment maintenance, and support services

This position reports directly to the Head Women’s Ice Hockey Coach and collaborates with athletic administration to ensure the safety, efficiency, and excellence of the ice hockey program. The Director of Player & Team Operations/Assistant Ice Hockey Coach is responsible for assisting the head coach with the planning, development and the supervision of the RIT Women’s NCAA Division I Ice Hockey program.
The position requires a dedicated and detail-oriented professional who is responsible for strategic planning, budget oversight, and operational decision-making that directly impact the success of the women's hockey program. In addition, the position is responsible for directing and overseeing multiple critical functions, including the supervision and evaluation of student staff, development and execution of travel and equipment strategies, management of equipment maintenance and safety standards, and serving as the program’s lead video coordinator. The Director of Player & Team Operations/Assistant Ice Hockey Coach has authority to make independent operational decisions, set priorities, and implement best practices that align with institutional, departmental and NCAA standards. The Director of Player & Team Operations/Assistant Ice Hockey Coach is expected to adhere to the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to student-athlete development while maintaining compliance with university and NCAA policies.
This position demands exemplary ethical conduct, adherence to university, department, and NCAA rules and regulations, and a proven track record of success in coaching, hockey operations or related roles. Strong organizational skills, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to student-athlete welfare are essential.
