Job Summary

Clayton State University Women's Soccer is seeking a Goalkeeping Coach to lead the technical, tactical, and mental development of the program's goalkeepers. This part-time, seasonal role works under the direction of the Head Coach and plays a key part in preparing goalkeepers to compete at the NCAA Division II level in the Peach Belt Conference. This position reports directly to the Head Coach and operates under their direction for all training plans, game-day responsibilities, and additional assignments.

Job Summary

Clayton State University Women's Soccer is seeking a Goalkeeping Coach to lead the technical, tactical, and mental development of the program's goalkeepers. This position reports directly to the Head Coach and operates under their direction for all training plans, game-day responsibilities, and additional assignments.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver goalkeeper-specific training focused on technical skills (shot-stopping, footwork, distribution, handling), tactical understanding (positioning, decision-making, organizing the back line), and mental preparation (composure, concentration, resilience under pressure)
• Lead a minimum of three (3) goalkeeper training sessions per week plus all home games
• Be present for all home games
• Report directly to the Head Coach and complete additional tasks and projects as assigned, in support of the team's overall success
• Communicate regularly with the Head Coach on goalkeeper development, performance, and readiness
• Maintain a training environment consistent with the program's standards

Required Qualifications

• Experience with playing and/or coaching experience as a goalkeeper, preferably at the collegiate or professional level
• Strong understanding of goalkeeper technical, tactical, and psychological development
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a coaching staff
• Compliance with NCAA and Peach Belt Conference regulations as applicable
